Sam Temperton

I’m a Principal Consultant at Tarka Talent. Having joined Richard at 3Search to help him launch the business, I have been here since the company’s inception.

I wear several hats at Tarka, with the majority of my focus on leading the growth of our Financial Services offering. Alongside this, I manage some of our key accounts in the consulting world and support the work we do with specialist, boutique consultancies. 

The maturity of the financial services industry in the UK means that there are a wealth of consulting firms operating in the space, varying from large teams in the Big 4 with very broad coverage, to hyper-specialised consultancies. This variety keeps me on my toes and keeps me learning. It has allowed me to offer a truly consultative service to my clients, covering market intel, recruitment strategy and advice around retention. 

A real strength has been helping smaller consultancies differentiate themselves as a brand in the recruitment market. This allows them to attract a very high calibre of candidate, who would typically only be looking at the big consultancies or industry roles.

Outside of recruiting consultants, you can find me working my way through the best brunch spots and rooftop bars that SW London has to offer, or riding electric bikes and calling it exercise.
