The Royal Parks is a charity that manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and St James’s Park. They also manage other important public spaces, including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Their locations are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.
Our work with The Royal Parks
Tarka Talent started working with The Royal Parks at the end of 2023. We were engaged exclusively on the recruitment of a Head of Strategy role, which we successfully placed into their leadership team. Since then, we have also supported with their search for a Planning & Benefits Manager role.
Why work with a specialist recruitment agency?
The Head of Strategy role had been open for a number of months when The Royal Parks engaged our specialist recruiters. Their internal talent team had been working with a different recruitment agency who was struggling to find the right calibre of candidates. The job description required a blend of strategy development and execution and delivery, which was complicating the search process.
Our recruiters worked closely with the business’ leadership and internal recruitment team to identify the requirements of the role. We arranged regular catch-ups with The Royal Parks to ensure that all parties were alligned on the progress made and the recruitment timeline.
