Associate Director, Strategy Consulting

Join a fast-growing New York team within an established international strategy consultancy, working with private equity and corporate clients on high-value commercial due diligence and growth strategy engagements.
As an Associate Director, you’ll play a key role in building the firm’s expanding Media practice, leading client engagements, developing senior relationships and supporting business growth. You’ll join a collaborative, low-hierarchy culture where senior hires are given genuine ownership to shape the team, develop people and influence the future direction of the New York office.

The role:

  • Lead commercial due diligence and growth strategy engagements across the Media sector.
  • Oversee multiple consulting teams and complex projects with limited Partner involvement.
  • Develop senior relationships with private equity and corporate clients.
  • Contribute to pitches, sales conversations, marketing and wider practice growth.
  • Mentor consultants, manage careers and help shape a growing New York office.

You will need:

  • Strong strategy consulting experience within Media-focused strategy engagements.
  • Hands-on commercial due diligence and growth strategy experience.
  • A track record of leading several complex projects simultaneously.
  • Confidence managing senior clients and external stakeholders.
  • Previous involvement in business development, pitches or sales activity.

The logistics:

My client offers a salary of $265,000–$300,000, depending on experience, with prosperous company benefits. This role includes a flexible hybrid working pattern.
