The role:
You’ll join an intellectually rigorous team of former lawyers, bankers, consultants, diplomats and former government or intelligence professionals and work in a setting where independent thinking, discretion and clear advice are highly valued.

You will lead client engagements focused predominantly on North America, turning complex research and human-source insights into clear, commercially relevant advice.
Role Highlights:
- Lead sensitive advisory projects involving transactions, investments regulation, policy and senior appointments

Assess commercial, reputational and political risks across unfamiliar sectors and jurisdictions
- Develop insights through trusted professional networks and carefully managed conversations
- Present concise findings to deal teams, legal advisers and senior executives
- Coordinate small project teams while maintaining quality, accuracy and discretion
You Will Need:
- At least three years’ experience in law, finance, consulting, government, corporate strategy or intelligence
- Due Diligence/ M&A experience is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of US politics, business, governance and current affairs
- Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to identify a client’s underlying concerns
- An investigative mindset, combining curiosity, persistence and resourceful problem-solving
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, supported by a strong academic background

The logistics:
My client offers a $120,000–$160,000 base salary, a bonus and potential equity. This role is based in New York City, with a flexible hybrid working pattern. Applicants must already have the right to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.
